Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

Bordered by the Rift Valley Escarpment on one side and Lake Manyara on the other this park boasts a diverse range of habitats which afford ample opportunity for game viewing. The lake provides a haven for birdwatchers and hippos wallow in its shallows.

The park is also a home to the magnificent tree climbing lions. Lake Manyara covers an area of 330sq km. It is one of the smaller national parks but provides a gentle introduction to what lies ahead.
